The killing of Mason: Did it change your opinion ..

The killing of Mason: Did it change your opinion of the character of Damon,Bonnie, Jeremy, etc? The character of Damon is one of the most popular character on Vampires diaries, and he also one of the most liked character on the show, although he did some unsavory things. Most of the thing he have done, was for a reason. He was angry at Stefan, he wanted to prove he was evil. He had no humanity. However, the more time Damon spent around Stefan and Elena he begin to change. So imagine my shock when he killed Mason. Damon truly didn't have to kill Mason. Mason did not threaten Damon, until Damon tried to kill him first ( and failed). Damon had no real reason to try and kill him, except that he found out that Mason was a werewolf. Still Mason didn't hunt Damon down and try to kill him. Damon and Stefan threaten him,and planned on killing him, prior to Mason going to sheriff Forbes and telling her about Damon and Stefan being vampires. Stefan and Damon actions towards Mason caused his reaction. Damon, and others, killing Mason change my opinion of him,Stefan and Bonnie. Did Damon killing Mason change your opinion of him? what about the other character that was involved, did it change your opinion of them? How? Do you find this valuable?

"The killing of Mason: Did it change your opinion of the character of Damon,Bonnie, Jeremy, etc?Well, I understand Damon reason for killing Mason. It was a killed ,or be killed situation. However , I do have a problem with everyone reaction to it. There was no reaction at all. Bonnie,Elena, nor Stefan said anything at all. That's was what surprise me. No one felt guilty,or showed remorse. Do you find this valuable? |

"The killing of Mason: Did it change your opinion of the character of Damon,Bonnie, Jeremy, etc?i think he had every right to kill mason because he was helping katherine try to take over mystic falls(well not exactly). I mean he felt threatened and mason almost had both damon and stefan killed...that would have ruined the whole show..so yes i believe mason deserved to die Do you find this valuable? |

Well i have 2 opinion:1)Mason didn't have to die, cause he wasn't a real treat to the main characters(Stefan,Elena,Damon and Bonnie)He was in love with Katherine and did what she asked him to do.He did however jumped on Stefan when he turned, but wasn't really a treat.2)Werewolves bite could kill and will kill vampires and that's what the brothers were afraid of.Mason did expose the brothers to sheriff Forbes, but Caroline made her mother forget everything. So Mason was a treat to vampires so he has to die.And then we have Tyler.

I don't know if I agree with that. You see, the brothers lives revolved around Elena. I mean, clearly. They'd do anything to protect her. Mason, being in 'ca-hoots' with Katherine made him much more threatening than just some loose werewolf. In addition to that, Mason knew information that the brothers needed. They have no idea why exactly Katherine is back in Fell's Church, and Mason knows why. We learn later on that she was planning to sacrafice Elena, but unti lthat point the brothers needed all the information they could get to protect her.So, here's a few ways how Mason WAS threatening: 1.) He knew information about Katherine that Stefan and Damon were desperate to know in order to protect Elene. 2.) Mason revealed the brother's true identities to Sheriff Forbes, who tried to kill them - but had failed when Caroline interveened. Here, Mason tried to get the brothers killed. 3.) When Stefan went to find the moon stone, Mason had put revaine in the well so that Stefan, or any vampire, who set foot there would painfully die. If not for Elena bein hoisted down into the well to save him, Mason's tricky plan may have worked and Stefan could have died. 4.) Mason was a werewolf, and a werewolf bite was and is extremly life-threatening t oany vampire, and that's the last issue the brothers need to worry about. I don't exactly agree with Damon for killing Mason, I think he could have definetely handled the situation better, but I understand that in ways it was life-threatening for him and he had to do what would protect himself, Elena, and even Stefan and the rest of their friends. Mason was a werewolf that part is true, however he was also human. A human that they all knew. Mason was Tyler's uncle, and Jenna's friend from high school. If anything they should have shown some form of remorse or empathy ,if not for Mason, for his family. for Tyler, and for his friend Jenna. But no one did and while I understand Damon actions. I'm use to Damon being Damon, and I love him for it. However, I'm speaking about Elena,Stefan,Alaric, and Bonnie's reaction to Damon killing Mason. THEY DIDN'T HAVE ONE. NOTHING. Did it change your opinion about them? I myself expected them to say something. To call him down on his action. To show remorse, fear, anger, empathy for Mason. Something ,anything at all. But instead, they didn't do ,or say anything. The only one who did show remorse was Jeremy. Even if they weren't remorseful over Mason's death (after all he did threaten to kill Elena), I still expect them to feel sorry for Tyler, or feel guilty . What I didn't expect was that they didn't react at all. Damon told Alaric that he had Mason's body rotting in his car, yet Alaric didn't say a word. Do you find this valuable? |

WEll true with all that you say there.Bonnie didn't want to help kill Mason,so maybe she did feel something. She did help Damon get Mason but remember she left after helping Damon getting Mason inside.I think that they didn't show any feelings at all cause they probably expected Damon killing Mason to get information. They didn't react shocked or surprise cause they expected that.Maybe they did have remorse or anything but didn't want to show.I don't know.WEll Stefan is a cold(human) so no feelings.Elena is getting cold like Stefan(hanging to much with vampires),so maybe she did but didn't show.Alaric is a hunter,so i don't think he will have any remorse or anything at all.

lets see. he got kidnapped, tortured then murdered. did he have it coming? yeah. if he was smart he would have left town after the whole damon stabbing him inccident. instead of sticking around like a alpha male douchebag and threatening elana and caroline and divising schemes to bring down the the salvatore's that was the final nail in his coffin. and now hes out decomposing in his truck somewhere. i wonder if he had a second chance would he do things a bit different. lol. i mean wouldnt U! Bonnie believe that killing a human is wrong, yet she had to know that Mason would be killed once she turned him over to Mason. I'm not the least bit surprise by Damon 's action. He's a vampire. Mason threaten him and the one he loves. So in his mind Mason had to die. However, the rest of them knew Mason as Tyler's uncle. So it seem that they would have at least mourn for Tyler. I still love Damon to death...but I saw the hurt in Jeremy's eyes when Mason was killed, because he thought that Mason wasn't that bad...As for Damon, it seemed cruel, because as a character outside of interacting with the others, I liked him...But I understand Damon's reasons.~Bangelfreak Do you find this valuable? |
