The Kiss: Do Damon know?

In the season finale, Damon was leaving Elena 's house,and ran into Elena at the front door. They talk for a moment,and than shared a long and passionate kiss before Aunt Jenna open the door. Well after a while we find out that it wasn't Elena, but it was Katherine who Damon was kissing on the steps of the front door. so my question is , "Did Damon know he was kissing Katherine, or did he really believe he was kissing Elena? or was Damon a bit confuse by the whole thing.
Did Damon know? why , or why not. 2  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?

Damon might have known all along. Damon was in love with Katherine, so he would know her kiss. Plus, wouldn't he be able to sense her? 2  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

I agree. I do not think Damon knows that it was Katherine he was kissing and not Elena. If he did, he probably wouldn't have allowed her to enter Elena's home. Since Damon wouldn't do anything that might harm Elena. However, I wonder if Katherine had seen Stefan? I mean, there could have been a time when Stefan was with Elena, and it was actual Katherine. I have to watch the episode again to make sure. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

True. I think Damon will save the day. Damon will either hear Elena scream,or realize that it was Katherine he was kissing all along. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I agree. Damon will likely realize it was Katherine ,either when he goes home and talk to Stefan , or he hear Elena scream . 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

You know , I was just thinking that Damon is a vampire,and he have super hearing. So wouldn't he have notice Katherine/Elena lack of a "heart beat"? Do you find this valuable?

I really don't think he knows. Because he has fallen in love with Elena and when he was tricking Isobel into believing he didn't care for Elena he truly made it sound like he couldn't care less about Katherine. And I know that he has feelings for Katherine, but I really think he didn't know, because he looked sincerely surprised that she had kissed him. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Yeah, seriously. I would think he would... But the writer of the episode prob. overlooked it. Do you find this valuable?

..or maybe Damon do know, but he so in love with Katherine that he just let her do whatever she please. Even kill Elena's uncle. After all Damon did tell Katherine/Elena that she looked better in modern street clothes, than she do in the founder day 's historical dress. Do you find this valuable?

I agree with you on this one...he had to notice or the writers overlooked it somehow. They had to know that we would all question that because of the missing heartbeat..so I am waiting to see how they play it out for us so that we get our answers..... :) 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Don't the Vamp Diarie's vamps have a heart beat, otherwise how do they bleed? Think when they exchange blood to turn someone. Back to Damon, if u remember the last episode it was kinda full on - so by the time Damon got around to kissing who he thought was Elena he would have been quite overwhelmed and the fact that Elena was actually letting him kiss her probably distracted him for that moment. Damon maybe a vampire but he is still a male! lol. The last shot when he touched his lips said it all, he knew he recognised the scent, the taste, the pieces fell into place. Does he whip around in the next second to race into Elena's house and see John die? Or does he protect Elena from Katherine. It's already a long wait til next season :( 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Probably he later on found out.Because after the kiss,when he turned around,he looked like he was suprised,but by what?By the kiss that the fake Elena gave him,who is really Kathrine?Will he burst the door to see how Jon get killed?Will he finally see his long lost love?How will he act on this discovery? Do you find this valuable?

the key word is "was" he was in love with her. now he is in love with Elena. form the beginning damon and elena had a thing. they might not have believed there was a thing between them, be they were wrong. as they spend time with each other the more they get closer. so when they find out that they are in love the people around them are going to get hurt.

r u kidding damon so knows did u see the look on his face after he walked away he looked kind of confused.....like hes thinking in his head wow u kiss like katherine....and why would she be kissing damon bcuz she made it perfectly clear she just wanted to be just friends with damon.....plus damon isnt dumb he knows or he will figure it out before everyone else does 0  out of 2 found this valuable. okay i am changing the subject here for a second....bcuz this confuses me how in the world did katherine get in the house in the first place....bcuz she wasnt exacty invited in 2  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?
