Bella is a brainless social outcast who just happens to stumble onto an equally brainless sparkly vampire boyfriend that stalks her and wants to suck out her blood.Whereas Vampire Diaries has good characters and a good plot. 18 out of 26 found this valuable. Do you? |

i agree with (alicecullen. ^) people think theres only allowed to be 1 that exists. if twilights so crap then it wouldnt be a massive thing right now, stop sulking cas more than half the population prefer tilight and get over it, if VD's so great ere was it on our screens before twilight, it might be older but no one wanted to watch it or produce it befire twilight, if u read all twilight books or even the full 1st one u clearly got attacted. w/e i thik there totally differert, just cas they both feature a vamp OMG no one says out about the thousands of horrors and romcoms out there that are all the same but 2 vamp series and people are quick to demand only 1, 9 out of 19 found this valuable. Do you? |

I agree with Anonmously above, Meyer can't write and right now the only vampire books out there is vampire accademy and vampire diaries nothing else compare. okay twilight was cool at one point and another but now its old if i hear another come on no way can vampire sparkle people they have fangs. they're not humans. vampires are not these amazing creatures. you aren't born a vampire. you don't have vampires looking out to see no one is bad. werewolves and vampires do not get along. and REAL vampires are hotter then sparkled ones. and JEREMY GILBERT. STEVEN R. MCQUEEN is on Vampire diaries people. he's hot

There was more sexual tension throughout , whereas in Vampire Diaries it's more of overprotectiveness than anything. It unfortunate for vampire fans that no one has taken the teen series Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead and turned it into a movie or series. Vampire Acadamy is by far, more exceptional a teen series than either Twilight or Vampire Diaries. Another amazing series that deserves to be put out there is Jeanine Frost's Night Huntress series but this is an adult series. I think there should be much more out there to argue over than two sub par series that leave so much to the imagination you really can't say who the better writer is. Is it fair to say when they have to leave so much out of the physical relationships that all of us know would be there unless you're a puritan? 8 out of 13 found this valuable. Do you? |

I LOVED TVD.and to all the haters :maybe it just appeals to a YOUNGER generation or maybe if you think negative about it while your watching it, and all you want to think is, TWILIGHT TWILIGHT TWILIGHT. then all you will get is the bad things out of it (not that there are any) and just so you know TVD was first, not Twilight. Also, I think the plot of TVD was well done. I also like L.J. Smith I have for a while now. My friend didnt even know what TVD was. Then when they saw it. Claimed they saw it first. TVD is going to become a huge thing! If people let it, and get over Twilight. If your a HUGE die hard fan of twilight then fine. but twilight can suck you into it. It has that way about it. I mean. Stephanie Meyers is a mormon. All im trying to point out is people can have their opinions but you dont need to agree with the rest of the world. Give TVD a chance <3 Just thought I'd express my thoughts. 7 out of 10 found this valuable. Do you? |

I like aspects of both as The Vampire Diaries compared to the Twilight Movies so far. I have read the Twilight books, but not he Vampire Diaries (I'm getting around to that). So let's see, one thing that really turns me off from Bella. She seems to needy and dependent upon Edward and Alice. Although I love Jacob story line and Alice especially very interesting. Jasper is interesting also, sorry we aren't getting more story line from him. The Vampire Diaries, has some very interesting characters. Can't wait to see where Jeremy, Bonnie, Damon, Stephan and Elena's character goes. Especially Jeremy, I really like him and if he were to get his act together more he would be a powerhouse (he's way hot). I really like Elena, I like that she holds her own with Damon and speaks her mind. She's got spark. And of course the love triangle, love that from both. But to hot brothers after the same girl, love it.

Vampire Diaries has a more refreshing plot. Twilight revolves around Victoria's clan hunting down Bella and MAJOR sexual tension between Edward and Bella. The four books float around the same idea, Edward being extremely overprotective and not wanting to change Bella. The only major change that happens is in Breaking Dawn, throwing the whole story in a different direction. In my opion, this book is the worst of them. The movie sticks to most of the details, but leaves out most of the more important aspects.In The Vampire Diaries, the television show displays all of the important aspects, and adding in a few extra twists, making it enthralling. The books are brilliant and have a talented author behind the masterpiece. The characters are well developed, every character has a history and a pesonality. Elena and Stefan are the main characters, but don't hog the entire limelight. Pretty much every character has an important role to play at one stage or another. Elena is also strong-willed and doesn't need to always depend on Stefan, unlike Bella who hangs off Edward every minute of the day. Don't get me wrong, I'm a definetly a Twilight fan, but The Vampire Diaries takes to whole cake! 5 out of 7 found this valuable. Do you? |

I became a fan of Twilight because of the love between Edward and Bella, and yes Bella is somewhat of a clumsy recluse, but she was just an outcast. I also loved Twilight because some one wrote about a different vampire instead of the usual. I love it when things are different than the norm. Even though they could have combined New Moon with Eclipse into one movie. Now on with VD, I have not read the books. I do like the TV show, and its getting better. This story is with the regular type vampire. Elena is a strong woman, and mayeb that is what attracts Damon and Stefan to her. I can't wait to see what is to come of this TV series and hope it will last several seasons to come. There are several vampire stories out there. Sookie Stackhouse(aka True Blood tv series), House of Night series(which has a differnt kind of vampire), Blue Bloods series, Morganville Vampire Series, etc.

I read Twilight and the vampires are very weak. they act like the world is all love and vampires are all love and good while they are not. They dont even have fangs or blood!!! Vampire diaries does and satifies your thirst for a good vampire story.

I red Twilight , also Vampire Diaries . Vampire Diaries is way better then Twilight, so excuse me Edward for beeing rude , but Stefan and Damon make a perfect team ! They complete each other , Stefan is gorgeous , inteligent and Damon is cute , sometimes a jerk but i like his jokes more ! So That's why i love Vampire Diaries . A hint for Edward : STEFAN AND DAMON ARE WAY BETTER THEN YOU ! ! And they are two !

1. LJ is a better writer 2. VD plot is more thought out 3. Elena is a strong female role while Bella was whiny and too dependent on her sparkly boy 4. Twilight's end sucks 5. There are more VD books:) more coming next year even! 6.VD came out first and is a great tv show 7. Did I mention that Stefan and Damon have fangs? And they Can be out in the sun (thanks to their special rings)
