--Unexpected Crossroad is a Supernatural and Vampire Diaries crossover roleplaying site. It is set at the very beginning of the first season of both shows. Some things have been mixed together, and some histories changed to ensure that the two worlds mix together properly. We are going by the real life timeline, so it is currently the beginning of 2011, and winter everywhere. It seems that these days, anything is possible. Vampires and werewolves roam the Earth, spirits come back for a quick haunt, demons possess innocent people. Of course, not everyone is evil. There is a constant battle between the forces of good and evil. Hunters walk among these creatures, fighting them to protect people from the dark forces. Things haven't been easy for the Winchesters, especially not after Sam left in search of a normal life. Dean continued to hunt with his father until very recently. Dean Winchester is now on a search for his father who has gone missing from a 'hunting' trip. He turns to his brother Sam, hoping to get his little brother to help. Sam has left the world of hunting for a normal life, and has seemed to find one outside the world of the supernatural. No suck luck. As they say, once a hunter, always a hunter. Now sam and Dean must continue to fight evil as they search for thier father and the demon that killed thier mother. In other places, Adam Milligan and Elena Gilbert's parents were killed in what looked like a car accident. However, their bodies were never found. Elena vaguely remembers seeing them dragged away by an invisible force. She was hurt and disoriented. No one would ever believe her claim. She and Adam have been doing a bit of digging and have started to poke around on some internet sites about 'supernatural creatures'. Elena has no idea about the deal that her parents made for her. They became aware of the curse that could be removed with the blood of a doppelganger, and they sold their souls to a Crossroad Demon to keep Elena safe until her 18th birthday, they got ten more happy years before collection. Elsewhere, Damon Salvatore has been doing whatever his heart desires. After being turned by his former lover, he is an eternal stud. Damon believes his brother is dead, and has seemingly moved on. Stefan and Katherine are fine with people thinking they are dead, they have been enjoying the world with each other and with no one being after them. However, Katherine wants to go to Mystic Falls after hearing a little rumor about a doppelganger of herself. Enter a world where good and evil are at war, and what side you are on will determine the future for the rest of mankind. Will you hunt these creatures, or defend them? Or are you one of them, causing havoc and destruction where ever you go? What would you do if you knew of the existance of the things that go bump in the night? Choices must be made, and these decisions can sometimes ripple on in eternity. Some will not survive this harsh new land, others will thrive in it. Supernatural or not, planet Earth is a very dangerous place to exist in. Six billion souls are at stake, and everyone is at risk. The demons will never cease until everyone is dragged into hell. Temptation is a big game changer, with demons offering people thier hearts desire in exchange for thier souls. The only question is: will you sell your soul at the unexpected crossroad?
