"HAUNTED"

Mini-synopsis: Vickie is still as hungry as ever and Stefan and Damon launch into a struggle over what to do with her. She almost bites Tyler and then the boys swoop down and stop her. Damon wipes Tyler's memory. Stefan wants to teach her to drink animal blood and Damon...well Damon really doesn't care. He wants her to be like him, but seems really disinterested in the whole thing. Stefan and Elena, who are still broken up, are worried about Vickie hurting someone. Stefan tries to keep her in the house but Damon lets her go outside at night and shows her how to use her super speed. She runs off and goes back home. She can't go inside until Matt invites her in and then fights off the urge to bite him. Stefan shows up and Vickie tells him to leave. Matt backs up his sister.

Bonnie finds out more about her past from her grandmother. They are witches who were around during the time of Salem but left the area in the late 1690s. Bonnie's grandmother tells her that the most important thing is to keep people guessing about whether or not her powers are really there. At school that day Caroline gives Bonnie a witch costume and the necklace she took from Damon. Caroline says she doesn't want it anymore.

Elena tries to tell Jeremy not to see Vickie anymore, but he doesn't listen. He gets a text from Vickie...she's back at home and wants to meet him at the school dance. Elena finds out Vickie is there from Matt and then finds Stefan so they can stop her.

Damon is at the bar and makes his way over to talk to Mrs. Lockwood, who is very drunk. He reveals that he is Zack's "nephew" and she asks where Zack is. She needs some more vervain for herself and all the others. Damon probes for information to figure out how many people are in on the secret group, then promises to walk her to the party.

Jeremy and Vickie find one another in the crowd and escape outside to make out. She bites him a bit on the lip and then starts sucking his blood. Elena comes out and confronts her with Stefan. A fight ensues and Vickie ends up biting Elena on the neck. Stefan stabs her through the heart and calls Damon to clean up the damage. After he does (unseen), Damon runs into Bonnie and sees her necklace. He tries to grab at it and his touch seems to burn her. She runs to her grandmother's and she tells Bonnie that the necklace actually belonged to her great-great-great-great-great grandmother.

At home, Jeremy is heartbroken. He's not sure what exactly happened, but he knows he's lost Vickie. Elena is upset about it and asks Stefan to wipe his memory. Damon arrives and agrees to do it for Elena. While Damon is upstairs, Elena tells Stefan that she wishes she could forget about all of this craziness, but she can't give up the way she feels about him.
