It was a chilly October night, you could hear the crickets singing softly. There was echo's of the neighbor dogs barking in the distance. Sitting near the window in her favorite chair, Elena cradled a cup of hot tea. Relaxing a bit from the long day at school, her mind wandered. Life had seemed a little less painful since Stefan had arrived. Elena had to smile as she thought about him. She closed her eyes remembering. Gold flakes had intermingled with the soft brown of his eyes. Stefan brought a serene calm with him, that she hadn't felt for along time. He always noticed the smallest of details with her and she could never hide her true feelings. When he looked at her it was like he could see what was in her heart. She knew her friends and family cared but it was different with Stefan. He acted as though she was the most important thing to him and everything else was second.

Elena walked over an sat her tea next to the bed. There was alot to get done and she needed sleep. Elena awoke with the heavy scent of roses, she inhaled deeply smiling she opened her eyes. She could see clouds through the window and condensation on the glass from the difference in temperature. She got up noticing the table set up with breakfast and juice. As she looked around the room she noticed this wasn't her room. From the corner of the room Stefan's voice called out "come here my love", Elena walked over to the privacy screen she stepped around to find Stefan in a claw footed bathtube with mountains of bubbles. Her hand went up to cover her mouth in surprise. She felt her cheeks burning red. Stefan in a bath tube meant trouble. She smiled in spite of herself his was gorgeous.

He motioned for her to come closer. As she stepped forward she felt something wet on the floor, she nearly fell it was so wet. When Elena looked down she screamed, blood was covering the floor. And near Stefan on the floor was the bodies of Jenna, Jeremy and Bonnie lay farther back. Elena froze. She dared to look up at Stefan who's face was changed now. She turned to run but slipped, she got up and ran. When she made it to the door Stefan was wearing a towel and leaning causally up against it. "What's wrong", he asked. Stefan started to come at her when she heard glass break, before she knew what was happening Stefan went flying across the room. Elena scared, slowly looked up. Damon stood there, looking every bit as menacing as Stefan. Stefan had gotten back up and walked over to them. Elena backed up from both brothers. She screamed waking up in her own bed, perspiration covering her.
